Coleman + O'Reilly Wedding
This summer has been so busy but so amazing at the same time! I wanted to get this wedding on the blog so I could share just how awesome my first wedding of this season was!
Chance and Kirstin’s wedding was such a special wedding to have been apart of. Their love was surrounded by friends and family from all over. Kirstin is from Ireland but family from South Africa, New Zealand, and Canada were able to be there! The wedding took place in Stevensville, Montana at the Stone Tower Estate. This was almost in the groom’s childhood home’s backyard! Chance grew up in Stevensville and I met him while we were both in college at MSU in Bozeman!
We met Kirstin while three of us college friends decided to go to Europe one summer! It is just amazing how that summer turned out I would have never ever guessed that Chance would have met his future wife on that trip! I am so glad he did though! Kirstin is the absolute sweetest person I know! How smoothly the wedding day went I think is a testimony to that as well! The morning was calm but full of excitement as the day unfolded. Not only was Kirstin surrounded by family as she prepared for the day, but also so many handmade elements from loved ones. Her mom made her gorgeous wedding dress and the bridesmaid’s dress. Her mom also arranged all the beautiful flowers! Her sister and granny made the cake and cupcakes! Aunts were fluttering about helping with this and that. Her grandmothers held down the kitchen to make sure everyone was fed during the day, and her dad made the cutest slideshow for the reception! Another really special touch was that they signed their marriage certificate with a pen that the bride’s late grandfather had made. Now how much more personal could you get!?
Chance’s aunt was also the officiant for their ceremony. She touched on the miles these two have travelled over the years to see each other. I can’t remember the amount but it was a HUGE amount! I think that was what made their wedding day even more special was that after this day there was not going to be all the flying around, there wasn’t going to be the goodbyes, the time difference calling confusion. It really touched my heart because I know and understand that feeling. The sobbing at the airport as you say goodbye. the odd hour video calls, and the time difference juggling. I get it!
I feel so lucky to have been there to been able to see the testament of Chance and Kirstin’s love for each other. It was a beautiful ceremony and a hilarious reception with lots of laughter. Chance and Kirstin’s brothers did an excellent job of telling some great stories! This is what I love about being a wedding photographer is being able to help people remember the little bits of laughter and emotion from their wedding day.
You captured the raw emotion and essence of our day perfectly. You got incredible photos of our family and friends and you made us feel so comfortable and relaxed! I love every single photo you took! You did an incredible job! Thank you so much!! -Kirstin Coleman
Enough of my outlook on the day! Enjoy this glimpse into Chance and Kirstin’s Wedding day. Congratulations guys and enjoy married life!
